After three days of play, partypoker Team Pro Mikita Badziakouski added another seven-figure haul to his poker resume by taking down the 2020 WPT World Online Championships (WPTWOC) at partypoker for $1,062,730 after agreeing to a heads-up deal with fellow partypoker Team Pro Jason Koon.
Badziakouski needs no introduction to the poker world with nearly $28.5 million in live tournament earnings according to The Hendon Mob. Despite an impressive resume, especially in high roller events, Badziakouski didn't have a WPT title to add to his resume until now.
The Belarussian, who was waving a Slovenian flag during the event, faced a tough final table as can be expected for a $25,500 buy-in event. In addition to Koon, Badziakouski had to also face the likes of Greece's Alexandros Kolonias, Lebanon's Mark Demirjian, Austria's Daniel Rezaei, Russia's Aleksei Barkov, and Almedin Imsirovic.

Final Table Recap
The final table began with Badziakouski holding the chip lead. The British duo of James Dempsey and Henry Kilbane commentated on the action with hole cards exposed on a delay at the partypoker Twitch and YouTube channels.
Imsirovic headed to the final table with the shortest stack and was the first player eliminated.

The situation was different for the second player eliminated with Barkov coming into the final table with the second biggest stack only to hit the rail in sixth place. The Russian's final stand came when he jammed king-five suited unsuccessfully into the sixes held by Kolonias in a blind vs. blind situation.
Next to go were two of the shorter stacks to start the final table with Demirjian taking fourth place and Rezaei settling for fifth place.

Time then ran out for Kolonias. He three-bet jammed treys into the aces held by Badziakouski to hit the showers in third place for a healthy $548,794 prize.
At this point, Badziakouski had a more than an 8:1 chip advantage against Koon. The original plan was for both players to be guaranteed a $779,139 payout with the winner going home with $1,094,460.
Instead of playing it out, the duo agreed to a deal giving Koon and extra $31,000 for a $810,869 payout for second place while still rewarding Badziakouski a huge payout north of $1 million.
